If you're running Windows NT you might want to install DynamIP
as an NT service so that you can run DynamIP without login into
any accounts. Here's what you need and how it's done:
Notes:
![](_themes/dipb/mstbul1a.gif) | The file DynamIP.exe must be in the same directory from
which you installed the service (the DynamIP NT Service will
only start this particular file). |
![](_themes/dipb/mstbul1a.gif) | If DynamIP starts as an NT Service it will always read its settings from the file DynamIPS.INI
which should be in the directory from which you installed the service. If that file is
missing DynamIP will start with default settings. |
![](_themes/dipb/mstbul1a.gif) | If you want to move the DynamIP NT Service to another
directory you must first Stop the service, uninstall the service, move the files to the new
directory, and then install the service again from
the new directory. |
![](_themes/dipb/mstbul1a.gif) | You can change the interval at which DynamIPS checks whether DynamIP
is running with the command line option DynamIPS /S=xx where
xx is the #seconds (between 5 and 65). |
